I made this in June 2020, I believe? I was [coming] from a protest [...] coming down from Harlem, down into Washington Square Park, but we stopped at Times Square.

This gentleman had stepped up to stop a group of rushing NYPD officers who were coming in to [just] start gathering people up - or at least box them in - and he stood [there] by himself to push them back.

[I] Thought that was pretty courageous - respectable - and I had to make that image because I think it definitely shows that we're fed up as Black people, and we're gonna just keep fighting back and pushing back, and we're not just gonna take whatever it is anybody's giving us.
