I recorded this image on May 30th at the Black Lives Matter protest in Newark, New Jersey.

A little background on this photo...

I was actually in the back of the protest and wanted to get to the front of the protest, so I ran around the corner and waited for them to kind of run towards me so that would be at the beginning of it. They were about three blocks away, and I had 24 to 240 lens, and as they started coming towards me, I zoomed in and I started taking photos of the protesters coming towards me. And the idea was, like, I wanted to get the beginning of the protest because that's where the the least amount of clutter was coming from.

And then, that's when I captured my shot. And the original shot is in color. But when I had to submit a photo, I was playing with a few different colors, and I just really like the way that the photo looks in black-and-white.
